The company is an independent production house with a highly experienced team specializing in music videos, feature documentaries, and narrative films, with a particular focus on the UK, US, and Latin American markets. Jinga Pictures maintains a long-term partnership with its sister company, Alacran Pictures, enabling the development and production of internationally relevant projects with broad cultural appeal.
Giorgia Lo Savio is the founder of Jinga Pictures and co-founder of Alacran Group/Pictures, based in the United States. The group includes studios and production facilities located in South Beach, Miami.
With over 25 years of experience across the film industry in the UK, Europe, and the US, Giorgia has worked extensively across all stages of production. Her recent credits include co-producing Monica, directed by Andrea Pallaoro and starring Patricia Clarkson and Trace Lysette, which premiered at the Venice Film Festival in 2022 and was subsequently released in the US by IFC Films. In the same period, she produced Rebellion, directed by José Luis Rugeles, which won awards at the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival (2022) and the Málaga Film Festival (2023), before being acquired by Netflix.
Her executive producer credits include Terry Gilliam’s The Man Who Killed Don Quixote, which was selected as the closing film at the 2018 Cannes Film Festival.
Giorgia has also worked as a Music Supervisor on Left-Handed Girl, directed by Shih-Ching Tsou and co-written and co-produced by Sean Baker.
Additional producing credits include Only When I Dance, Algo Pasó en Alma, and Los Viejos, all of which have screened at major international festivals including Tribeca, Guadalajara, Munich, and Havana, and have secured distribution across theatrical, television, and streaming platforms.
She currently has several projects in development, including a remake of the Camera d’Or-winning film Las Acacias (2011) by Argentinian filmmaker Pablo Giorgelli. Giorgia is also serving as Music Supervisor on a new animated feature ’Twinkle Twinkle’ by Harmony Korine, scheduled to launch at the end of 2026.
In addition to her production work, Giorgia has participated in numerous international industry panels and has served on juries at major film festivals.
